March is upon us.  Hang on to your hats!  This is when our calendar is filled with academic, athletic and social events.

Our Seniors are now days away from notification from the colleges and universities to which they applied.  Our Juniors have Ring Day on March 16th.  All our JROTC Cadets will be marching in the world famous Savannah St. Patrick's Day Parade.  Congratulations are in order to BC graduate Tim Ansley, Sr. for being elected Grand Marshal of this year's parade.

Spring sports - baseball, soccer, golf, tennis, track and lacrosse  - are all in full swing now that's it's March.  Tryouts have ended, teams are formed and the Cadets are on their way! This is, no doubt, the busiest athletic season we have at BC.  Come out and support the Cadets!

In our efforts to keep our Cadets well-informed and safe, we recently had assemblies for all grade levels by Federal Probation Officers.  The Cadets will also have the opportunity to experience Arrive Alive, a DUI simulator.

Field trips coming up include our Astronomy Seniors visit to the GSU Planetarium. Visiting lectures include Harry Delore from SCAD speaking to our Studio Art students and interestsed others on Art and Technology.  Former members, young adults, who have served in the Israeli Army will be speaking briefly to our students and facutly. Our Latin students take the National Latin Exam this month as well.

So much to do, so little time...

As this Irish prayer says, so we, at Benedictine wish you the same.

An Irish Prayer
May God give you...
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Deb
